FOWNES. The will of Thomas FFOWNES (Gilbert's father) in 1604 naming
Gilbert FOWNES as executor along with his brother William and the will
of his brother Thomas, listing Gilbert with nine children gives us a
clue to Gilbert's father and place of living at the time of the wills.
MARRIAGE: F.H.L. film 321,123; Parish Register of Bromsgrove,
Worcester, England; Vol. #1; years 1590-1653; p. 114. Entry under the
year of 1604 reads: the fifth day of Novemer were married, Gilbert
FFOWNES and Elizabeth BUTLER. No BT's till 1613. A will for Margaret
BUTLER in 1616 list her daughter Elizabeth and husband Gilbert
FFOWNES.
