his later life. He helped bring telephone service (worked for the
phone cmopany) and electrical service (was a master electrican) to the
Northern VA. area. He was a member of the Telephone pioneers. He was
known to his grand children as PaPa. EBF
Listed in the Arlington CO. VA. 1920 census as living with Franklin B.
LUSBY as a boarder, age listed as 21yrs.
1930 Fairfax CO., VA. census list Edward C. FONES age 31 born in VA.
along with his wife, two sons and mother in law. Occupation is shown
as lineman with the phone company. Age at time of marriage is listed
at 22.
