A meeting of the citizens of Stonewall District was held at Oak Row on
Sat. the 25th, for the purpose of organizing a club,to be known as the
Stonewall Hancock English Club. The meeting then proceded to organize
, elect officers and enroll members. The following resolution was
adopted; Resloved, That we, the members of the Stonewall Hancock
English Club, do hereby pledge ourselves to support the Democratic
electorial ticket , put forward by the Convention on this 19th of May,
1880. W.H. FONES was enrolled along with his brother Chas. H. FONES.
